Notes for John Dyke
John's death at home, 8 Trentham Street, Newtown, Pemberton, was from bronchitis and cardiac failure as certified by A J Hynd, M. B. It was registered by his son, Robert, of 30 Arundel Street on fifth February, the registrar being Jeffery Baynes.

At the time of the 1861 census John and family lived at 23 Ormskirk Road. John gives his occupation as Overlooker in a Cotton Mill.

On the date of the 1871 census John and family lived at 187 Brunswick Street and had an occupation of "Labourer at Copperas", but by the 1881 census had moved to 154 Ormskirk Road, and son Walter had married, left home and had a son. There's no mention of Margaret on any census return. Why? Had she died?
Notes for Ann (Spouse 1)

At the time of the wedding Ann's father, Charles, was a weaver.
Notes for John & Ann (Family)
At time of wedding, John was a Collier in Pemberton and his father a mechanic. The witnesses were John Green and Ellen Pincock, the Clerk Charles H Newbold.
